Project Description:

· To assess the durability of PVA fiber-mortar composites (engineered cementitious composites) to wet/dry cycling (rain/heat cycling).  Durability will be quantitatively measured through flexural strength and toughness (ASTM C 78 and modified ASTM C 947) and average residual strength (ASTM C 1399).

· To qualitatively observe changes in the fiber-cement interfacial transition zone via environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) after specific intervals of wet/dry exposure.
