Polly Branch Falls Trailhead - 05/22/06

      Length: 8.35 miles roundtrip (moderately strenuous)

        From trailhead via Polly Branch Falls Trail:

                         1.85 miles one way to Upper Polly Branch Falls

                         2.30 miles one way to Jenny Branch Falls spur trail (0.15 mile spur)

                         2.50 miles one way to Lower Polly Branch Falls

                         2.75 miles one way to Bee Branch Falls

From trailhead via Chestnut Mountain Ranch Trail:

           3.05 miles one way to Screw Cliff Overlook  

        Moving Time: 3:15 (2.5 mph average)

        Overall Time: 5:10 (1.6 mph average, including all photography)

        Elevation change: 605’ (relatively gradual change along old Jeep trails)

        Total Ascent/Descent: 700’ each

 

       

 

      Upper Polly Branch Falls (trail to base too precarious in wet weather, i.e., unstable slope)
