The ACC Glass Program

The Appalachian Center For Craft Glass Program offers exceptional opportunities for students. We provide a thorough technical foundation supported by a broad background in the history of glass and its changing relationship to art. Our hotshop and coldshop offer some of the finest glass-working equipment available in the country and an environment conducive to hands-on working and learning. Through continual experimentation, visiting artist workshops and slide presentations, the student develops a personal aesthetic and is exposed to a wide variety of career opportunities in glass.

All advanced glass students receive semi-private studio space and full access to the hotshop and coldshop facilities.

The Glass Program Mission Statement is written by the glass students, and frequently reviewed and adjusted to reflect the ever changing field of contemporary glass.  See Curt's Biographical Sketch for more information about the evolution of the ACC Glass Program.
