TTU has developed an effective tool for assessing critical thinking.  The CAT (Critical-thinking Assessment Test)  instrument has been tested on over 800 students and is a valuable tool for evaluating institutional efforts to improve critical thinking. TTU continues to refine this instrument and is especially interested in feedback from other institutions.
