Abstract/Key Words Preparation Instructions
Some Helpful Suggestions:
- The Abstract should be typed with the same point as the text (12
point), but NOT double-space.
- TYPE THE TITLE IN
UPPER CASE above the Abstract.
- Following the TITLE, type first
Name, Middle
Initial, and Last Name
of the Author.
- Following the Name
of the Author include the
Official Name of the Institution, City
(with zip), and State (no abbreviations).
- The text of the Abstract should begin as a
new paragraph (see example in Ecology). Do not
justify right margin.
- The Abstract should state concisely the
Purpose, Objective (and Hypothesis test), Results, and
Conclusions.
- The Abstract should be
written as a Single Paragraph not exceeding 250 words (one page); average 150 words.
- Do Not include Literature
Citations or Diagrams.
- Scientific Names should be emphasized by italics.
- Key
Words... Following the Abstract,
list up to 12-Key Words.
Words from the title of the article may be included in the Key
Words. Each Key Word
should be useful as an entry point for a literature
search
