Manuscript Review Process
Each article submitted to a recognized Peer-reviewed
Scientific Journal is subject to the following review process:
- An initial review by the editor or associate editor to
determine the appropriateness of the article for the journal.
- Assuming it is appropriate, it is then assigned to
three referees according to its content for a blind review.
- A thorough review by the three referees, each of whom
makes a recommendation to the editor and provides comments and suggestions,
of varying detail, for the author.
- An appraisal of the reviews by the editor, who makes an
initial decision regarding the disposition of the article. If in the
editor's judgment, the article should proceed in the review process, the
article and the reviews are assigned to a member of the editorial board or
advisory board for blind review and a recommendation. If the editor feels
the article has potential for publication, the author is invited to make
revisions according to the suggestions of the referees and the member of the
editorial board, who will also process the revised article.
- A critique is completed by the editorial member who reviews the
revised article, the original article, and the comments of the referees. The
editorial board member provides the editor with a recommendation regarding
publication and may indicate that further revisions are necessary.
- A final decision made by the editor, who appraises the
entire review process, ensuring that all revisions suggested by the referees
and the editorial board member prerequisite to publication have been made.
The editor reserves the right to deviate from the above
steps when the situation warrants and as is deemed appropriate.
