Attendance Policy
Regular Attendance required...FOED 2011 provides opportunities for teacher education candidates to demonstrate the dispositions of effective teachers. Regular attendance is an indication of responsibility and is one of the identified dispositions reflected in the TTU Conceptual Framework.** Attendance will be taken daily. Attendance is required for Field Experience (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Classroom attendance grade will be calculated by the following scale:

Total Attendance Points: 10
Absence #1- no points deducted (total attendance grade: 10 points)
Absence #2- 3 points deducted (total attendance grade: 7 points)
Absence #3- 2 additional points deducted (total attendance grade: 5 points)
Absence #4 or more- full 10 point attendance grade deducted, final exam is mandatory

**In addition, if you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be counted absent for that day.

Teacher Education Program
1. PRAXIS I: If ACT Composite Score is less than 22 or SAT is less than 1020
You MUST register for the PRAXIS I.
Pick up application and registration bulletin in BH 301.
Tutoring available through TTU Academic Development Learning Center.
2. If you have completed 30 semester hours, you are eligible to apply for admission to the TTU Teacher Education Program.

Student Teaching
1. All teacher education candidates should file applications for student teaching approximately 1 year in advance.

2. PRAXIS II: All teacher education candidates must successfully pass all areas of the PRAXIS II prior to student teaching.
