Trombones at Tech, the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir, is proud to announce the release of their first CD of music for trombone ensemble. The title of the project "Arete" comes from the greek term meaning 'striving to be the best one can be in all things' and is representative of the ethics and focus of the trombone studio at TTU.

The entire project was student driven, with major funding provided through the TTU Quality Enhancement Plan, an initiative to enhance critical thinking and real world problem solving for students throughout the university. Students were involved in every aspect of the process from initial conception through repertoire selection, recording, mechanical licensing, program notes and booklet design all the way to the final disc.

We are proud to present this first aural document of Trombones at Tech and look forward to more projects of this sort in the future.
