COURSE

OBJECTIVES

FIN 3410 serves as an introduction to the field of real estate. It is intended to enhance knowledge of the real estate market as well as to expose you to tools used for analyzing real estate problems and opportunities.

Required:

·         Real Estate Principles, Charles F. Floyd, Marcus T. Allen, Eighth ed., Dearborn (2005).

·         Calculator:  A business calculator such as the TI BA II Plus is recommended.

 

Recommended:

·         The Wall Street Journal

Course grades will be based upon your performance on two exams (a mid-term and final) worth 50%, and quizzes, discussions & written assignments worth 50%
