Bob Coogan has been head of the ACC metals department since 1981. He received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of art, is known nationally for his visiting artist workshops, and has lectured throughout the United States and in Korea.

In 1987 Bob taught in England as part of the Fulbright Exchange Program. His work has been exhibited internationally and has been featured in numerous publications including American Craft, The Anvil's Ring, Metalsmith, and Korean Design Magazine.
