Teaching-Related Work ExperiencesTennessee Technological University (1993-Present)I am currently an Associate Professor of Management in the Department of Decision Sciences and Management of the College of Business Administration. My duties include teaching courses in Business Management, conducting basic and applied research, and performing other activities related to my profession as an academic and as a member of the university community. Texas Tech University (1988-1993)I served as a teaching assistant in the Area of Management of the College of Business Administration. As a teaching assistant, I was responsible for developing and teaching several management courses including Business Policy, Business and the Environment, International Management, and Principles of Management. I also assisted in various research projects undertaken by the management faculty. I served as an administrative assistant in the Archive of Turkish Oral Narrative at the Texas Tech Library. The archive was responsible for the preservation of the Turkish oral literature tradition through the recording and transcription of oral folklore. Ayala Life Assurance Company (formerly, Filipinas Life Assurance Company) (1984-1987)I served in various positions during my tenure with this company, which is located in the Makati financial district of Manila, Philippines. As a trainor, my responsibilities included designing, testing and conducting training programs for the company's managerial and sales force. I also served in the company's sales organization. Insurance Institute of Asia and the Pacific (1986-1987)As a part-time instructor for this organization, I conducted training
sessions on several insurance business topics such as the services of
life insurance and premium rate determination. The audience included managers,
and administrative and sales employees from the Philippine insurance industry.
