Course Objectives:

1. To expand knowledge of key issues in the field of professional communication;

2. To learn collaborative writing/editing strategies in the production of long documents;

3. To improve written and oral communication skills.

Some Course Policies:

1. More than two (2) absences that are not officially excused may negatively affect the course grade;

2. More than two (2) instances of lateness may negatively affect the course grade;

3. Late work will be penalized, and missed quizzes may not be made up without an official excuse;

4. Avoid all forms of oral gratification in class; i.e., no drinking, eating, chewing, etc.
