* Akshay Bauskar and Shilpa Beravelli join the MAPLE group for their Ph.D. Akshay has a B.E from Mumbai University, India and a Masters from Lamar University. Shilpa has a B. Tech from Osmania University, India and a Masters from Lamar University.
* Nancy A Burns joins M.A.P.L.E group as NSF-REU researcher. She is currently a Senior majoring in Chemical Engineering at TTU.

* Mounika receives the Outstanding Masters Candidate of the year 2008 - 2009 award. Congrats Mounika.
* Dr. Vijay receives the prestigious 2009 Oronzio de Nora Industrial Electrochemistry Fellowship of The Electrochemical Society. Vijay has also received this fellowship for the years 2007 and 2008. This fellowship has been awarded to him for the third consecutive year based on his outstanding research. Congrats Dr. Vijay.

* Ravi N. Methekar joins the MAPLE group as a Research Associate.

* Vinten Diwakar successfully defends his PhD dissertation. Congrats Dr. Diwakar.
* Dr. James C. Pirkle Jr. joins the MAPLE group as a Senior Research Associate. Dr. Pirkle has his PhD from GA Tech, and is currently a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, UIUC.

*Dr. Vijay receives the prestigious 2007 Oronzio de Nora Industrial Electrochemistry
Fellowship of The Electrochemical Society. This highly esteemed fellowship
was established in 2003 and is given to assist a postdoctoral scientist or
engineer with his/her research in the field of industrial electrochemistry.
The fellowship carries a cash award of $25,000 per year renewable for two
more years based on the performance of the winner. (Award information featured
