April 3, 2006 - Vanderbilt University Medical Center -
Orthopedic Trauma Clinic.
X-ray front view, approximately six weeks
after removal of the intramedullar nail.
I saw Dr. Kregor early this morning, and he is very pleased with the bone growth.
When I look at these images, it still makes me very nervous, because the bone seems
so flawed. But Dr. Kregor pointed out the places where the gaps are becoming more
fuzzy, indicating new bone growth. I am up to full weight-bearing on the leg, and
This morning Dr. Kregor said that I can stop wearing the boot, unless I am in a
situation where I think I need it. I'll carry it with me in the car just in case.
