I don't like to look at this image. The breaks still look so
pronounced, the alignment
seems shaky, and it looks
like the tibia was attacked by termites. But I trust Dr. Kregor,
and he says that the new bone growth looks very good. I think that the previous two
x-rays look better than this one, and the leg does feel stronger all the time.
There is no
pain at all. I have managed to remain cheerful and optimistic all along, even in the face of
repeated setbacks (although being back in a cast and on crutches after removal
of the nail was
definitely a low point). Now it does seem like healing is finally proceeding as it should.
