April 3, 2006, Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  X-ray oblique view of right leg.
I don't like to look at this image.  The breaks still look so  pronounced, the alignment
seems shaky, and it looks like the tibia was attacked by termites.   But I trust Dr. Kregor,
and he says that the new bone growth looks very good.  I think that the previous two
x-rays look better than this one, and the leg does feel stronger all the time.  There is no
pain at all.  I have managed to remain cheerful and optimistic all along, even in the face of
repeated setbacks (although being back in a cast and on crutches after removal of the nail was
definitely a low point).  Now it does seem like healing is finally proceeding as it should.
