Directions to the Appalachian Center for Craft
1560 Craft Center Drive, Smithville TN 37166 - 615/597-6801
The Craft Center is located in central Tennessee approximately 60 miles east
of Nashville and 120 miles west of Knoxville, six miles south of I-40.
On I-40, take Exit 273, Smithville/Hwy. 56,
and follow Highway
56 south for approximately 6 miles. Continue on Highway 56 across the big bridge over
Center Hill Lake/Caney Fork
River and immediately at the south end of the bridge turn left at the Craft Center sign.
Proceed for one mile
to the Craft Center parking lot and facilities. In the photo above,
the large building next to the volleyball court contains administrative offices,
galleries, and the Walkway Cafe. The building to the left contains fibers
studios upstairs and wood studios downstairs. The building to the right
contains studios for clay at near end, metals in the center, and glass at the
far end.
